The new Moldovan Tourism Industry country brand, developed with USAID assistance, was launched on November 20, at the National Ethnographic Museum of Moldova.
A whole story started when a group of people decided that there is need for a new visual identity for our country. Trip Moldova will reveal all the secrets behind the creation of the new logo.
To begin with, creators have thought of the expectations that they would like to awake in the soul of the potential tourists. The results of their studies revealed that the most appreciated “landmarks” of our country are its hospitable people, the wines along with the traditional cuisine, also associated with the natural taste of fruits and vegetables. Furthermore, tourists highly appreciate the great cultural variety, as well as the “slow country life of the Moldovan village.
The research has also shown that 64% of the western tourists are rather adventurous. Are you among them? If yes, you should know that the Republic of Moldova is a good choice for your trips.
Now let us move to the logo itself. The article was about it, right? We used to have a logo that was created in 2010. But, next to the logos of the countries in the region, it had nothing special. In addition, in the attempt of promoting the Republic of Moldova as a new tourist destination, there is need for innovation, for originality.
Therefore, the logo’s creators decided to conduct a new research, for getting to know the local specificity and historical insights. The study took place at the National Museum of Ethnography and Natural History, where the group has discovered a number of genuine symbols that represent us as a country and culture. Nevertheless, the most representative was the tree of life. Its branches draw a map with various endings. In our culture, this tree signifies perpetual youth and life without death.
The M is drawn in black, symbolizing Moldova’s fertile soil from which the tree of life grows. Each of the endings represents an aspect of the Moldovan tourism (monasteries, churches, holidays, cuisine, vegetables, fruits, wine…). Any path you would choose to follow be sure that you will enjoy a great experience! The new logo is “crowned” by the Moldovan rose.
Come to Moldova and “Discover the routes of life”, together with the Moldovan hospitability, wine, traditional meals and culture!
Moreover, beginning with tomorrow, November 24, you will have the chance to see the promotional spot on Euro News!
